Still a fan

I correct myself: they were single. This post serves to emphasize my point that all the good men are always taken. Turns out all 4 Il Divo guys are attached. And Carlos married to boot, to some Geraldine Larrosa, whoever she is. Anyways, the only redeeming factors about this revelation is that they have devastating latin good looks, supernatural voices (esp Carlos) and are snappy dressers. Makes up for the fact that they're not available.

Almost. But I'm still a huge fan. And I still love them to bits!! Any of you Il Divo fans, leave comments! I need people to rave with! :D

Ancora más

I'm a convert. Yup, classical music is the way to go, man. Pop, rock and R&B singers just don't cut it anymore. I love classical music. They just give you the goosebumps, especially when they're done by Il Divo.

Te quiero! Il divo is the best classical quartet. Period. Seriously, their songs are absolutely, hair-raising-ly haunting. I'm in love with Il divo (And Josh too, of course). Carlos and Urs are my nouveaux crushes. Can't wait to see them live one day.

Isn't Carlos hot? He's the baritone of the group, he's single, he's Spanish, and he's all mine. (Actually, all 4 of them are single)

Collectively Il Divo. Amazing. Clockwise from left; David, Carlos, Urs and Sebastien

Finest male species there ever was. Sigh...

My SAT results:

Critical Reading: 690

Math : 620

Writing : 670
Essay score : 8

It's definitely a big improvement from last time. But it's nothing to jump up and down about, since I was aiming for over 700. Oh well. As long as it's enough to get me in the unis I want, I'm happy, and everyone's happy. Here's a recap of my previous scores:

Critical Reading: 630

Math : 610

Writing : 500
Essay score : 6

So done with tests....SAT results out today!

I just escaped confinement.

Wait, that sounded wrong. Imprisonment. Yeah, that's the word. Finished 3 tests last week and one this week. One more tomorrow...yep management again. Another freaking 5 percent quiz. I mean, what's that about? If they're gonna torture us with so many quizzes at least make the percentages higher so that we dun feel cheated of marks from our slavery. Sigh. Never mind. I'm almost done reading, just the last set of notes left, so I can probably go with Ru to celebrate Ranj's b'day tonight.

Except for history, all the other tests were, in my opinions very icky. I think I crashed n burned in CSC & Bio. Tho I'm too chicken to go ask my lecturers for the marks. Dun really wanna face the awful reality. N stats was terriby awful too. The mother of all awfulness. I eat my words about stats being smashingly well this sem, it's right down there with CSC. But i'm so done with it all.

Back to history. I scored the highest in class, with a miserable 87 %. Dr. Leong is such a scrooge for marks. He actually circled my tenses in the essays!! I don't mean to sound like a wanker, but with all due respect, my English IS very advanced and I know half the tenses he circled (and polluted my paper in the process) are right, and that he's wrong. But I still got cut for that! What is that??? That was not a freaking English test, and he is no Dr. Gitu. The gall! And I actually had to correct him about a fact in my essay. He didn't believe me, but it was written in plain bold letters for all and sundry to read (well, for those who actually read it anyway).

And he's supposed to be a DR. in history. Oh please. The degradation of a noble subject. But I'm willing to forgive him at the end of the year, when I look at my transcripts and find an A on it for this subject. Or else.

Anyways, I've decided to apply to another 2 more unis (just for kicks). UPenn and MichState. I've always wanted to apply to Penn, and since the deadlines are still open, I'll give it a try. Mich state offers a scholarship, so why not? That sums up my demented reasons. But hey, there ain't no shame in it.

And lastly, to conclude this little monolog...SAT RESULTS ARE OUT TODAY!! Well, technically I won't be able to check what I got till later this evening, since the Eastern time in the US is 12 hours later than here. Damn. How did the Western countries of which are 12 hours behind manage to get more advanced than the Eastern ones? Life is mind-boggling sometimes. I'll post my results as soon as it is out, but I don't expect I'll be popping champagne anytime soon.

Going off now.

Dead tired

Okay, I know I enjoy some aspects of studying, but I'm just starting to wonder just how much of a masochist I am. There's enjoyment, then there's just plain enslavement. And I KNOW I'm enslaved, and that my slave-owners? Yeah, my books. The worst thing? I can't even contemplate a revolution or an uprising against it coz it's pretty much a non-entity. And I just proved to myself that I've OD-ed on American History. Again. Slaves and uprisings and revolts. Sigh.

I even turned down lunch with my mom today just so I can put in a few hours. How disgustingly appalling. But the good news? I've finished 13 of the 14 chapters I needed to read b4 my tests. But I don't truly know if I am ready. I mean, I can't remember half the things I read! Esp for CSC, which wins the grand prize of my worst subject for the semester.

See, I have this ongoing competition each semester for each of my subjects, and each semester, one subject walks away with the prize, my dignity, my grades and my GPA. 1st sem it was calculus, and ditto 4 second sem. Third, it was accounting. Now? CSC. I even have more confidence in stats (it's going smashingly well, actually) than CSC!!

Gotta go finish that one last, annoying chapter now. Of CSC!

He's SINGLE!!!!

Josh is currently single! I just discovered that through the net. He's broken up with JJ last summer!! Doesn't mean a thing for me right now, but hey. Who knows? *wiggles eyebrows suggestively* Must be some sort of sign.

Like I said. It's back to the calendarboard for JJ. He's way too good for her.

I also found out that Anthony's only 5' 4". I'm pretty much out of luck there, but he's such a cutie it's all right. At least I still have Josh. And I still love Anthony's songs anyway.

In love

I am officially in love with Anthony Callea and Josh Groban.

I know it's a little late to jump on the loving-josh bandwagon, but I swear I never realized he was only 25. All this while, hearing his songs, I thought he was like, Andrea Bocelli's or Luciano Pavarotti's age. I'm dead serious. Then I heard his song, Let Me Fall, and it was so haunting I couldn't help but check out his biography.

And I discovered he's only 25!!!!! and HE IS SO HOT!!! Sigh...I'm in love...*gak*

I fell in love with more and more of his songs. Especially his duet with Charlotte Church in 'The Prayer'. I had goosebumps after listening to them (Again, I know, ancient song. But I got turned off that song when I first heard the Celine Dion version, so how can you blame me?). You know, I think it's a psychological thing. You find out that a previously assumed to be a fat-old-bearded-Pavarotti-type artist is a young, talented, hot, delicious, scandal-free hunk, you start to like - I mean LOVE- his previously disliked songs. Sigh...again, I'm WAY too late. He's dating some dumb actress, January Jones. What kinda name is that anyway? She belongs on a calendar, not with my beloved Josh. And she's 3 years older than him!!! Can you just imagine; when he's 47 she'll be 50! an old grandaunt! she doesn't deserve him! *breathes deeply, counts to ten*

Okay, my opinions might be a bit biased because it's Josh. I'm sure she's a wonderful woman (I'm sure) ....... but HOW I hope it won't work out between them. Oh no, I sound so bitchy :D
Anyways, I'm listening to many many Josh songs now. Now I realize, his songs are really emotion-laden, very.....haunting. Period.

On to my other love...Callea (who's 24, btw). Oh, he's so delicious, I just can't help myself. He was the runner up for the 2004 Australian Idol, but in my opinion he should have WON. Australian ppl are just so twisted (him excluded of course). Again, this is Josh-related. I heard him singing Josh's song in one of the rounds in Aus Idol and I just fell. And fell. And never recovered. I'll give you 3 guesses which song it was.

Duh! 'The Prayer'!! He put a Callea twist to it, tailored it to complement his awesome singing skills, and he was BRILLIANT!!! OMG...I couldn't take my eyes off him when I watched his performance on YouTube. He's so handsome, too! He's got this mischievious, boyish-but-when-he-sings-he's-just-so-manly, flirtatious, catch-me-if-you-can look that is just him, which he projects into his performance, and his stage presence....wow...it was like, when he went up there and sang, he owned the stage. All of his other songs are really wonderful, too. He's got to be the only artist ever whose whole album I liked. So, he is my second squeeze. Figuratively speaking, of course, since he doesn't even know I exist.

Did I mention that he's so supremely manly? SO masculine, it gives me the goosebumps. His rendition of 'I want to Know What Love Is' absolutely gave me the chills and made me fall even harder for him.

Made me wanna show him what love is, for real.

One day, I promise, I will date him. I will not stop till I get him to fall in love with me as hard as I've fallen for him.

Sigh...why am I such a masochist? I always fall for the ones who are either:

  1. taken
  2. too popular to get close to
  3. too supremely talented to even consider getting close to yours truly and the whammer -

DON'T AND NEVER WILL KNOW OF MY EXISTENCE.

Sob. I'm such a pathetic case. I've gotta get a life (while loving Josh and Anthony from afar, since I don't and never wanna be a groupie (those mad mob-teens who have star-struck screaming fits and tear said artists' clothes for souvenirs everytime they come within a ten mile radius). Meanwhile, I'm just biding my time and trying to swallow down American History. I'm getting a really bad case of constipation. Again, figuratively speaking. Sigh...I love you, Anthony.
